I love moot court

I love moot court because it gives us an excuse to go places. Elliot had to go to the city for a practice moot competition this weekend (in preparation for Austria) and Henry and I decided to tag along. New York City is a whole different place with a stroller, but we managed to walk all around mid-town and Times Square. We did a little shopping (I got a sweet deal on my new puffer coat), ate at John's Pizzeria, Magnolia bakery, Roxy Cheesecake, Burger Joint, and all the good places at Chelsea Market. Basically, our weekend was surrounded by food and walking to get to food, and I'd say that's a pretty good weekend.

As long as he got a break from his stroller every once in a while, Henry seemed to enjoy himself and everyone sure loved him. If I wanted anything, all I had to do was show his face and everyone was more than willing to help. New York sure loves the babies!

Elliot's two three cents:
1) I had almost lost faith in ever making a purchase at H&M. Emily even suggested that, for me at least, H&M stands for Hit & Miss because we only ever leave with clothes for her.  I have always been enticed by the promise of cutting-edge consumer fashion at low prices but can never find anything that really works. Despite my previous four failed visits to various H&M's over the last couple of years, I found a pair of silly-colored pants that  fit right and only cost $19. You've won back a place in my heart, H&M (which now stands for Handsome & Masculine).

2) Henry rode all the way back from the city without eating or drinking anything. Think about it -- could you make that same five-hour trip without eating or drinking a thing? Didn't think so.

3) I competed in the pre-moot okay, but I totally got my bu!t handed to me by the sternest arbitrator I have met or will ever meet.

Very cool. How many infants can say they've toured the big apple? I should rephrase that . . .

New York really does love babies. Callie was like a friendly people magnet when we took her to the city. Who knew?

Josh loved moot court as well! It was one of his favorite classes and he ended up taking it 2 years. I'm glad you guys had fun in NYC. Your little guy is still so cute!!

unlike some people, I'm glad YOU'RE here. Or back. Also, a friend from Austria is coming to the Midnight in Paris thing, you should definitely talk to her.
